MediaFire launches Android cloud storage app with 50GB of storage

MediaFire, which we used to associate (possibly erroneously) with rampant piracy but now seems to have realigned itself as a serious cloud storage company, has launched an Android app. It appears to offer a similar feature set to that of current segment-leader Dropbox, complete with Android gallery photo uploads to keep all your stuff backed up online ? only you get an ENORMOUS 50GB of storage space to gradually fill when registering an account.

You can?t say no to that. Here it is, in a suspiciously Dropbox-like colour scheme:

Android 2.2 or higher is the only requirement to get MediaFire going on your telephone. Get it here.
